PLEASE NOTE: This program begins in May, 2007.
Blood is needed for emergencies and for people who are in need of transplants, have cancer, blood disorders, sickle cell, anemia and other illnesses. Some people need regular transfusions to live. Imagine if giving blood and platelets was part of everyone's life. Something you did on a regular basis, like eating at your favorite restaurant. What kind of difference would that make? For nearly 5 million people who receive transfusions every year, your donation can make a real difference. |
| Overnite Express, working with the American Red Cross, is encouraging blood and platelet donation by giving a complimentary NextDay shipment to each Overnite Express account holder who registers to donate blood or platelets.
To qualify for a complimentary shipment, you will need to:
*Note: Promotion Code Vouchers are only available at the time you register to donate. Registering to donate means you must have completed the Health History segment of the donation process. Even if you are deferred, Overnite Express account holders are still eligible to receive a complimentary shipment. If your local American Red Cross center did not have an Overnite Express "Promotion Code" voucher at the time of your donation, contact Donna Riester at riesterd@usa.redcross.org or at (909) 859-7116. When you call or email you will need to provide the date and location of where you registered to donate. Each Promotion Code is unique and may only be used once. Once you have entered your code into the Promotion Code field in ShipOnline, located at the the upper right hand corner of the shipment preparation page, you must prepare your shipment. If you log out or close your web browser you will not be able to re-enter your promotion code. *Note: In rare cases where NextDay Overnite® service is not available to the destination of choice, the Overnite Express Online Shipping Program will automatically notify the shipper and apply the next available service.
