Residential Deliveries

Charge: $2.40 per shipment. Shipments delivered to private residences will be subject to a Residential Charge per shipment in addition to all other applicable charges. A private residence is defined as a home or place of dwelling and includes those businesses operated out of a home.

The residential designation is based on municipal zoning, not the practices performed in the dwelling.

Residential shipments may, by default, be delivered and released without obtaining a signature unless otherwise specified. Please note that by requiring a signature your shipment may be delayed and may incur additional fees. Call Overnite Express for additional details. If Overnite Express is unable to deliver your shipment after the third attempt, the shipment will be returned to the shipper.

The commitment time for all residential deliveries is 60 minutes past the published business delivery time.
